All items made
to customer specifications
The design and manufacture of tungsten filaments at our London factory
remains our core specialist business. There is no catalogue because all
items are made to customer's specifications. We make a huge number of
different designs, which are not carried as stock items. We are usually
able to provide samples for testing, often free of charge.
Responsible and
flexible service
Our aim is to provide high quality products at competitive prices, with
a strong emphasis on building long term-relationships with customers.
This enables us to provide a responsive & flexible service, which is backed
up by technical advice and support. The quality of our raw materials and
finished products is monitored constantly. Conformance certificates will
be issued on request.
Strong export sales
Mercatron International Ltd has strong export sales. Mercatron exports
over 60% of its sale's turnover, primarily within the EC, but also in
significant quantities to non-EC Europe, Australia, South America and
parts of the Middle East. In smaller volumes the company supplies many
other countries, and is are able to ship to virtually anywhere in the
world.
Within the company French, German, Hindi, Urdu and Spanish are spoken.
Pricing and invoicing are available in several currencies, i.e. sterling,
US dollars, and Euro.
Sourcing equipment
and products
In addition to the manufacture of filaments, we supply a range of other
items from stock for use in vacuum metallising. For example, we stock
various types of high-purity aluminium evaporants, as wire and in a range
of weights and shapes. Samples of additional standard types are held,
and other types can be made to customers' requirements (subject to quantity).
We also supply a competitively priced high-quality silicon monoxide powder,
available in two grain sizes. This material is manufactured for us in
Germany. The same source can also supply titanium oxide chunks 3-15mm,
for optical and thin film use.
Because of the company's
extensive experience in this field, we are also able to source equipment
and products specific to individual customer's requirements, both in the
UK and overseas.
